Your path to a brighter future

Who are we

Positive Futures is a mental health and mental illness charity for the people of Lancaster and its surrounding areas. Positive Futures was established because we were worried about how welfare reform would affect people with mental illnesses and people’s mental health. We are a friendly and experienced team who supports people with a range of mental health needs. Our café and hub are open to anyone, there is no need for a referral, just turn up for a brew or book a session.

What we offer

Our hub, located in central Lancaster, has a café, an activity room in which we run health and wellbeing courses and groups, and a private therapy room. We offer group and one-to-one support led by people with lived experience. We also run an out of hours crisis café which provides judgement-free support to people experiencing distress or going through a mental health crisis.

Courses

We have a range of courses including anxiety management, positive literacy, and other personal development.

Groups

Our social groups are a great way to develop your confidence and learn new skills.

Café & Social Hub

A great spot to socialise and hang out, grab a coffee or a bite to eat, and socialise with other visitors.
